Our own Elizabeth Hanson, who directs TPA Winds, will be performing a solo recital for her degree on Friday, April 22, 5pm at the ASU School of Music in the Recital Hall. She will be performing on alto and soprano saxophones. The admission to the recital is free and it qualifies for concert reviews. Students, families, and faculty are all invited to attend.
The ASU School of Music is located at 50 E. Gammage Parkway at the intersection of Mill and 11th. It is next to the school of education and directly across from Gammage Auditorium. The Recital Hall (not to be confused with Katzin Concert Hall) is located on the fifth floor and is accessible by elevators in the round part of the building. Metered parking is available if side streets are full.

Because this is an unusual week, this little reminder hopefully will suffice to help singers and parents in Cantamus be prepared for the upcoming rehearsals.
Thursday, 7am: “Regular” Thursday rehearsal. More work on “Sure on this Shining Night.” Touch up on Fiddler music as needed. Review “Walkin'”
Friday, 3-5pm: Fiddler All-Cast rehearsal, Act I, in Zelman Center
Tuesday, 7am: Regular rehearsal
Also, please remember that Wednesday of next week, 3-5pm is the All-Cast rehearsal for Fiddler, Act II. I believe the only music that Cantamus sings in Act II is “Anatevka.”
We will use Thursday’s rehearsal to plug any holes in Act I music and continue with “Anatevka.”
Please recall that all music Cantamus performs from now on will be memorized!

Mrs. Joslin, our strings teacher for Junior Varsity Strings and the Music Director for Fiddler on the Roof, will be performing her senior violin recital at ASU on Thursday evening. If you need a concert to review or just want to hear some beautiful music, this is for you.

The opera, by Mozart, is sung in German with English supertitles. For more information and a video about the production, see here. This is the opera referred to in the movie Amadeus.
If you want to go, contact Mrs. Wolfe by Sunday to reserve your place on the bus.
