Our regular, twice-per-week rehearsals resume Tuesday, January 29, 7am. We will finish any auditions for new people who have yet to complete theirs, begin new music for our spring concert, and discuss plans for the Disney trip coming next month. I’ll see you there!

Singers and members of Sinfonia, tomorrow please come to Zelman between 7am and 8am, even if you’re not in the rehearsal with Camerata. I need the information requested on this form so I can write the printed program for the Chamber Recital and check some final details on Solo and Ensemble festival.
As a reminder, the chamber recital is Wednesday evening and the Solo and Ensemble Festival is Saturday.
I will have blank forms for you in the Zelman Center tomorrow morning. I also will give you credit for attending Cantamus if you sign the attendance sheet, even though you might not be in Camerata. Everyone, please check in!
As another reminder, please recall that Wednesday’s rehearsal in Room 302 at 7am is for Cantamus Jazz. The Thursday rehearsal in Zelman is for Women (at 7:00 a.m.) and for Men (at 7:30 a.m.). The Friday 7am rehearsal in Zelman is for everyone in Solo and Ensemble Festival. The lunchtime rehearsals continue this week for Cantamus Jazz.
In addition, I’ll continue the sight singing classes at 3:05 to 3:30 each afternoon.
We’re in the home stretch for this big project!
7th and 8th grade music students, please see the list of over 120 concerts suitable for review. Plan now with your parents which ones you will attend for your concert reviews due at the end of the semester. Also find concert-going etiquette guidelines, due date, and addresses of concert venues. Students who want to review any concert not on the list must get prior approval from their teacher.
Here are the rehearsal plans to prepare for Solo and Ensemble Festival and Regional Choir Auditions.
If you want to sing in a group and your name is not listed, please talk with me. If your name is listed and you know for sure you can’t sing in the group (either for the Chamber Recital or for Solo and Ensemble Festival), please talk with me.
TPA Chamber recital is Wednesday, January 23, 7:00 p.m. in the Zelman Center. The Solo and Ensemble Festival and Regional Choir Auditions are Saturday, January 26. Find directions on TPA’s online calendar. See “TPA Links” tab above.

Important! This is production week and everyone needs to come to his or her rehearsals. If you have tutoring scheduled already and it conflicts with your rehearsal, reschedule (this week only). If you have athletic practice that conflicts with your rehearsal, inform your coach that I am requiring you to be at the rehearsal (this week only; if you need me to contact your coach for you, I’ll do so). We are working on choreography and final touches; if someone is missing, that affects everyone. Be there!
Posters and Post Cards
I will have for you at tomorrow’s rehearsal posters and postcards. I want everyone in Cantamus to take at least one postcard and give it to a person outside of your immediate family. This will serve as the invitation to the event. It’s easy! You must do this.
Everyone in Cantamus will be serving dinner Saturday night. This is very cool and you will wear your red Cantamus T-Shirt (with dark trousers) to do this. Mr. Giandiletti is coordinating the food service. His instructions and information is here.
Saturday is the event, and everyone who can help during the day with set up and preparation, and afterwards with cleanup, is needed. Parents, this means you, too! We have a core of dedicated parents who are getting everything ready so helping will be easy and fun. We all would dearly appreciate it if you would sign up in advance at our Performing Arts Shutterfly site or email Mrs. Tona Stough.
